Artist's Description

Theres something about this sepia photograph that pulls you right inkids leaning into the blur of a Coney Island summer, their feet dangling above the ground as Lynns swing carousel spins them toward the sky. You can almost hear the creak of old metal and the shrieks of pure, uncomplicated joy, the salt-and-funnel-cake air catching in their hair. Its not a perfect picture; the edges are soft, the light is hazy, and its full of motion. But thats what makes it feel like a memory you didnt even know you hadthe kind that makes you miss afternoons that stretched on forever, when the only thing that mattered was holding on tight and leaning back into the wind.

Hang this in your kitchen, your office corner, or that blank dorm wall thats begging for a story, and itll do what old photos do best: make the present feel a little lighter. Its not trying to be fancy or profoundits just a honest scrap of Brooklyn history, faded and warm, like a hand-me-down sweater you never want to take off....

About Onedayoneimage Photography

Onedayoneimage Photography

A lot of my art photos feature the twenty years that I spent in New York City. The big apple is such a bustling, fast moving place and if you don't slow down the moments just pass you by. Thankfully my love for photography allowed me to do just that through the years. It's was a joy to take in those details that would otherwise go unnoticed. The quest to capture my surroundings started much earlier though, when I was given my first camera at age nine. My initial and reluctant subject was my beloved and photogenic Irish Setter who tried to escape the clicking machine. These days my tools have changed but my passion to create images has not diminished. I share these moments with you and I hope you find a piece that sparks your imagination...
